Ivan Roudyk & Red Max have recently lifted the lid on their nod to the House music mecca we all call the white isle. As the season on the island draws to a close and the world’s finest clubs shut their doors, we’re left with our memories and begin the countdown to 2014. The pair draws on a collection of famous sounds that any veteran of the island will recall. From the blissed out pads we all associate with Ibiza, to the tribalistic percussion, infamous piano lines and brass sections reminiscent from yesteryear, everything about ‘God Bless Ibiza’ is carved with Balearic inspirations that make you feel like you’re back on the island with a cocktail in hand and the sun on your face. The breakdown brings a speech that reinforces the intentions behind this track. The people, the music and the atmosphere that makes people go back year after year are all well documented in the words portrayed in the single.
The sounds of Ibiza change all the time, but this release is a beautiful thumbs up to the styles that helped carve the island’s famous reputation. If you’re down with House music that makes you feel good, Ivan Roudyk & Red Max have got you well covered with this one.
With a whole lot more lined up into the winter season, the guys at Electrica may well be missing Ibiza, but they’ll be kept busy enough with their fine-looking release schedule ahead of them.

With the launch just a fortnight away, the hype surrounding Danny Howard’s new Nothing Else Matters night is reaching critical mass. Hand-picked by Danny himself, Bontan is one of the first DJs to step up and showcase the fresh new UK talent that’ll be headlining at each event.
Backed by a firm belief that the UK has the best DJs and producers around, Danny Howard is launching Nothing Else Matters to showcase the very best of the best. With each lineup topped by just one major headliner, each night will play host to the best up and coming talent that the country has to offer.
With Eddie Halliwell and Jacob Plant kicking things off on the 25th October at the Ministry of Sound in London, the 23rd November sees Nothing Else Matters land in Manchester with Toolroom boss Mark Knight, Josh Butler and house music’s next big thing – Bontan.
To whet our appetites for his debut at Nothing Else Matters, Bontan has sent us over an exclusive mix featuring some of the choicest cuts in house music at the moment. Edging on the techier side of deep house, you can guarantee that if this mix is anything to by, November 23rd is going to be a night to remember.
Spinnin Star Music have been on the move this year, consistently bursting out some of the finest underground EDM releases we’ve heard in ages. Drawing on a vast roster of talent, the label has become one of the go-to labels for DJs and music lovers that want to find the best in emerging electronic music. Harel Uzan & Eran Hersh are amongst that list and this month sees them unleash their most potent dance floor destroyer to date. ‘Volcanoes’ is a non-nonsense club banger that’s already been picked up by DJ icons such as Sultan & Ned Shepard, David Tort and many more. Epic in scale and downright nasty in the bass ranges (in a good way), this single has already proved its worth as a banger that will send arms up and feet stomping down in any main room with subs strong enough to handle the earth shattering sub frequencies.
Make no mistake about it, this is an unrelenting EDM anthem that’s been expertly manufactured to obliterate main stages and arenas around the world. If you want your socks blown off and like your kick drums in your face like a jackhammer, you might have just found your new track of the month!
